Adirel L. Cohen, LMSWI am a psychotherapist in private practice and co-owner of The Clinic at Therapy Tel Aviv. Raised and educated in the United States, I work with English-speaking individuals in Israel who seek therapy in their native language. In addition to my private practice, I am part of the mental health team at the nonprofit Layla Keyom Yair, which organizes retreats for Nova survivors and families of hostages. Everyone’s path is different in pace and direction. My work with individuals is guided by three interrelated pillars:Psychotherapeutic approaches including behavioral, narrative, psychoanalytic, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), with attention to identity, trauma, values, and the relationship between thoughts, emotions, and behavior.Psychoeducation, with a focus on brain development, nervous system functioning, and the human stress response.Mindfulness and existential exploration, supporting awareness of the self and one’s experience beyond habitual patterns of mind and body.I work with adults of all backgrounds. Sessions are offered in person in Tel Aviv and Zichron Ya’akov, as well as virtually.
